How to Move in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Teacher: Brother Joshua Tongol

Joshua Tongol is the evangelist / teacher for Charisma Life Community Church in Pomona California. He is a frequent speaker and equipper for the body of Christ in the areas of apologetics and the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Biola University and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Theology from Talbot School of Theology. He currently resides in Buena Park, California and is addicted to cracking jokes, reading and bboying.

Many Christians are aware of the miraculous gifts listed by the apostle Paul found in I Corinthians 12, but the question that Joshua Tongol often asks people is, "But do you know how to move in them?"

Jesus and His disciples not only did a proclamation of the Kingdom, but they also did a demonstration. And the Lord requires us to the same.

In this class, Joshua Tongol will give a solid biblical foundation as he explores the miraculous gifts of the Spirit which will clear up much of the confusion that are in the minds of people. In addition, not only will there be a time for teaching but also a time to "do the stuff" as the Spirit leads.

"In a sense," Joushua says, "our faith is restricted to how we think. We must have divine perspective. We must have a theology where we expect the Lord to work miraculously. It is then where we will see more."

The gifts that will be explored are the following:

Word of knowledge
Faith
Healing
Miracles
Prophecy
Distinguishing of spirits
Tongues
Interpretation of tongues

The majority of the course material will come from Dr. Sam Storm's book The Beginner's Guide to Spiritual Gifts.
